These are well known for the Mughal Era inspired designs in golden as well as silver brocade or Zari. Pattern Details: Kalamkari is an ancient style of hand painting with a tamarind pen, using natural dye. Motifs drawn in Kalamkari spans from flowers, peacock, and paisleys to divine characters of Hindu epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana. Ornamentation: Zari work is known for the art of weaving threads in golden and silver colours. It involves the process of twisting a flattened metallic strip, which sometimes is made from pure gold and silver.
